Single and Multiple Cylinder Rooms for 70kg Cl2 Containers
- Depending on the chlorine “draw-off” the chlorine gas supply can consist of single or multiple chlorine containers.
- Main categories of systems as per SANS10298:2009 can consist of:
- Single direct bottle-mount chlorinator
- Duty and standby system with an automated change-over
- Multiple cylinders on a pressurised manifold
- Full on vacuum systems using vacuum manifold
- Systems are supplied with the following support:
- Cylinder support bracket & chain
- Mass weighing scales
- Cylinder handling trolley
1-Ton Chlorine Drum Rooms
- Large chlorine 940kg containers (referred to as 1-ton drums) are used where the chlorine draw off is too high for the smaller 70kg supply. These drums can be configured in various ways to meet the site requirements.
- Specialised support equipment for large chlorine supply includes among others:
- Lifting beam for chlorine drums
- Support cradles for drums with (or without rollers)
- Support cradles with drum rollers, prepared with loadcell.
- Manifold with mounting supports for multiple drums.
- Liquid chlorine catch-pot with trace heating.
- Emergency shut-off system in case of gas leaks.
Chlorine Gas Dosing Room
- Chlorine gas dosing facilities typically consist of two separated compartments.
- • The one room houses the chlorine gas under pressure section of the plant
- • The second room is used to house the following equipment/sections:
- Chlorine gas under vacuum
- Motive water supply and chlorine solution carrying pipework and valves
- Dosing rate control items – “dosing controllers”
- Instrumentation and electric controls
Motive water boosting for small applications
- Site specific selection of motive water pumps to meet pressure and flow requirements of injectors(venturi)
- Hydraulic design of pipework including selection of appropriate auxiliary items
- Pressure and flow monitoring equipment
- No-Flow protection for boost pumps
- Integration with electric controls
Pre assembled systems
- We can factory prepare chlorine dosing plants in various sections to minimize installation time. Instuctions can be provided for site installation by contractors/clients.
